Malcolm Speed attends World Economic Forum

Brian Ward and Partners Director, Malcolm Speed, is taking part in the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council meetings in Dubai from 20 to 22 November.
Malcolm is a member of the Sports in Society Global Council that is one of 60 councils that meet annually to consider key issues that impact on the state of the world under the banner of the World Economic Forum.

Other members of the WEF Sports Council include David Stern, Commissioner of the National Basketball Association; Jeremy Darroch, CEO of British Sky Broadcasting Group; Jerome Valcke, Secretary-General, FIFA; Professor George Foster, Stanford University and Tessa Jowell, UK Minister for the Olympics.

The 60 Global Councils cover a diverse range of disciplines including Welfare of Children; Energy Security; Pandemics; Systemic Financial Risk; Corruption; Philanthropy and Social Investing; Global Healthcare Systems; Human Rights and Protection; Ecosystems and Biodiversity Loss; Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The key issue for the November meeting of the WEF Global Sports Council will be a discussion of where sport fits into the World Economic Forum's Global Redesign Initiative.
